ECB publishes final guides for banks on capital and liquidity adequacy

On 09 November 2018, the ECB published the final versions of its „Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP)” and its „Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process (ILAAP)”. For Less Significant Institutions (LSIs), the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) had already finalized its „Guidelines on the supervisory assessment of banks’ internal capital adequacy concepts and their integration into processes of integrated performance and risk management (ICAAP) – Realignment” the previous May (cf. our Blog).

We have compiled a new Point of View as well as Onepager and a short Teaser , explaining about the challenges and areas of action resulting for institutes from these new guides on ICAAP and ILAAP.
